The school year is winding down but that doesn't mean our lives are slowing down any. My day usually starts around 5 am when my alarm starts going off. Depending on the day of the week, I get up anywhere between 5:30 am and 6:15 am. I leave in the morning an hour or so later to take Mr. N to school. Then after dropping him off, I rush back home to get our day started with the other boys. The other two boys are usually eating breakfast or just getting up thanks to Super Dad. He usually gets Mr. B & Mr. J up and feeds them both. Shortly after they finish, I start with kindergarten homeschooling. We decided to choose an online program and it's been perfect for what we need. It's structured, yet flexible when we need it to be. After starting him on his homeschooling, I chase after Mr. J and try to get household chores finished.
Mr. J is a morning grazer which means he eats and roams, then he's back for more. Mr. J is very independent but I guess you kind of have to be if you are the last one to join the family. If he needs something, he gets it. If he's hungry, he helps himself to the fridge. If he feels like his teeth need to be brushed or his hands need to be washed, he takes care of his personal needs.
Mr. J also tells on himself. If he's climbing something he's not supposed to be climbing, he says "I'm gonna be careful, Mama!" It takes a few seconds before I realize what is happening. Then I proceed to freak out. He will also dart out the back door if he decides he wants to go play. He may be small, but he sure does run fast.
This afternoon he was playing outside. Dad called the boys back inside and he noticed Mr. J's dirt ring around his mouth. Dad asked him, "Did you eat dirt?" He responded "Yes! I had dirt soup and it was yummy in my tummy, mmmmm!" The things that come out of his mouth are hysterical. He has enough personality in his little body for 3 kids. Imagine, 3 Mr. J's running around. I would need to lace up my running shoes and be ready to be on the move from sun-up to sun-down!
